Dream Cycle begins with the awakening of Morgan Carter in an alternate world, having previously embarked on a journey to save the fractured realities of the universe. She is trying to find her salvation and help other inhabitants of cities and kingdoms. On the way, the student of a powerful sorcerer encounters dark creatures and clears the territory of fragments of corruption, using magical abilities.

At the start of the playthrough, the player finds himself in danger in a split new dimension, where the inhabitants of the Land of Dreams, distorted by corruption, live. The main character fights with enemies and tries to remove curses from them. During battles, the gamer can set traps or use spells. Morgan fights with blades and magic, gradually upgrading his abilities and improving his equipment. Each defeated enemy allows you to learn more information and background about the world.

The adventure is endless and the game world is open to exploration and procedurally generated. The location of enemies, loot, places of power, bosses and other gameplay features is always random. A system of endless mysterious adventures is presented, which are randomly created as you explore the environment. Moving across regions of the vast world, the user obtains weapons, skills and opportunities for the heroine. Each time, passing between the Distant Gates, the player will find himself on a new island of the Land of Dreams, where there are thousands of different journeys and quests.
