Driver is the first game in the series of the same name, which is a vibrant, dynamic race on the roads of Miami, San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York. The presented open three-dimensional world, and what is happening on the screen is absolutely spectacular and cinematic. The game tries as much as possible to convey realistic driving and good physics of movement. The main character is detective John Tanner, who in the past was a racing car driver and has participated in various races more than once. Now he has gone on a mission where, undercover, he must work as a driver for local crime. Tanner infiltrates the criminal strata of society and will visit various major cities, and in the end he will save the US President himself. And all this without ever getting out of the vehicle. There are no people on the streets, and the detailing of the environment is minimal.

The first mission in Driver is training, where you need to perform all the aerobatics (written on a piece of paper on the right of the screen): make a sharp start, accelerate to the maximum, make a 360-degree turn, turn around with the handbrake, etc. After tasks, vehicles are repaired for free. The car feels good and is not locked into a tight track. At the top left of the screen is a damage bar, when completely filled, the engine stalls and will no longer start. The player's car's durability is 2-3 times greater than that of other vehicles on the road. There are police chases where you need to show all your skill, maneuvering the corners perfectly, forcing the police to crash into surrounding objects.
