Eador. Masters of the Broken World is a global tactical strategy, which you can spend a dozen evenings playing until the final credits appear, or even lose completely due to a couple of bad decisions. The first missions introduce the player to the situation, teach mechanics and talk about the structure of interactions: hiring, construction, movement, military manipulations. However, these are just the basics; you will have to figure out many things yourself, through trial and error. Almost all control is carried out with one mouse.

The plot tells that previously there was a beautiful world of Eador, inhabited by a variety of creatures. Intelligent organisms had their own worldview and way of life, which is why they began not only to be friends, but also to be at enmity with other inhabitants. But soon a huge Dark force appeared, deciding to seize all the lands and appropriate them for itself. To prevent this, the planet had to be destroyed, as a result it scattered into many fragments, where its inhabitants, geography and foundations settled.

Game world Eador. Masters of the Broken World consists of three components:

• Strategic – consists of constructing new buildings on a piece of land that is divided into sections. The basis of the state is the capital, with the possibility of its complete development; the loss of the main city leads to loss.
• Tactical – conducting battles on a map divided into many hexagonal parts. Each warrior has a number of important characteristics and health level. For example, with low morale, a warrior will run away from the field. Battles take place in a step-by-step mode, with the turn changing from one team to another.
• The Astral is the refuge of the hero and other rulers, each of whom is tied to his own world, where he is the master. The more points the ruler captures, the more powerful he becomes, drawing strength from them. They all have their own history, purpose and ideology.

The player takes on the role of God, and he himself decides whether he will be good or evil, but he has only one goal – to reunite the universe back together. The protagonist's characteristics are not chosen specifically, but accumulated, taking into account the choices made during quests. It has advantages and disadvantages both for good (the inhabitants love it, the army is professional and loyal, but requires large expenses) and evil (it uses all sorts of rabble that can feed itself and bring some benefits).
