Effigy: The Descent introduces another adventurer who wanted to go in search of mysterious artifacts and got trapped and now risks not getting out alive. The search for some mysterious objects leads the protagonist to a dark cave. Despite his intuition and sense of self-preservation, the hero still decides to go down. Almost immediately, he deeply regrets what he did, because in addition to impenetrable darkness, his opponents are strange entities.

The protagonist of Effigy: The Descent does not have any weapons with him that could tip the scales in his favor and give an adequate response to the enemy. His rivals will be some statues that are trying to lure the adventurer deeper into the void and there without a chance for the latter to deal with him. However, he is not completely defenseless, because the man has a flashlight with him. This plays into his hands, since the monsters are very afraid of light and immediately try to hide.

In order to stay alive and get out, you must first find 6 special items. In the process, you will also learn the secrets of an ancient civilization that existed underground long before humans appeared. The story itself is not directly presented to the protagonist – you must figure everything out on your own and interpret all the clues in the right way.
