IN El Matador the story takes place in Colombia. The main character works for the drug enforcement agency. According to his passport, he is Victor Corbet, but everyone calls him El Matador. Together with other agents, he is fighting against La Valedor. A criminal group is engaged in the distribution of narcotic substances. It is possible to use bullet time – time slows down, bullets fly slowly. In the story, the main character's brother is killed by a member of La Valedor. He also worked for the DEA.

Allies during missions in El Matador are controlled by artificial intelligence. They have firearms and the ability to dodge enemy bullets. Opponents are distinguished by their fast speed. In addition to firearms, the protagonists have grenades.

At the beginning, the character finds himself in Tijuana, Mexico. In a helicopter, armed agents land at a nightclub. The task is to control the assault and clear 2 floors of the establishment. There are no peaceful people inside; all visitors are armed. After eliminating 10 guards, El Matador approaches the office of Alberto Marica, the leader of the gang. He activates the explosive device and runs away. Alpha Squad's goal is to defuse the bomb. Victor has a pistol, a machine gun, a sniper rifle, and a shotgun in his arsenal. You can hold pistols in both hands. In the right corner are health and armor points. You can replenish them by finding a bulletproof vest and a first aid kit at the location. Having eliminated the criminals in the club, the agents descend in the elevator to the basement of the establishment. Under the ground, the protagonists discover boxes of ammunition and weapons, and a torture room. They find a hostage.
