Novella Enzai: Falsely Accused is presented to the player through a visual series of changing pictures, where the characters in the dialogue box talk to each other, reflect on various events and react to what is happening. The story is centered on France in an alternative universe, at the time when Napoleon Bonaparte ruled it. The plot covers the period after the revolution, when citizens have to survive under new unfair laws. The main character here is an ordinary person who, on someone's whim, refuses to go to prison, although he did not commit any crimes. The prosecution fabricated a case for which the hero received a long sentence. Now the guy faces an unenviable fate if he does not try to save himself.

In the anime-style game Enzai: Falsely Accused, the protagonist must find a way to escape from prison, as well as resist the tyranny of local government agencies that sow only oppression and chaos. On his way to salvation, the young man will meet dozens of different personalities who, like him, were imprisoned. Among them will be lawyers, maniacs, thieves and petty criminals. Now, communication with them and joint actions can help the hero get out of the current situation unharmed, because he still has to find out who is behind the fictitious accusations, as well as what motives the mysterious villain pursued. By choosing certain actions and lines, the player can influence the course of the plot.
