Events Escape from Tarkov transported to an alternative version of modern Russia, where two rival military mega-corporations collide in Tarkov, creating real chaos in the city. The hardcore shooter invites you to choose a side of the confrontation and engage in a battle for a populated area, simultaneously trying to survive, avoiding enemy bullets, as well as increased background radiation. In the process, the character learns more than a hundred skills, completes a variety of story quests, during which he learns the past of the town and gets the opportunity to save himself and escape.

The player is transported to the Universe of Russia in 2028, to a fictional city located in the Norvinsk region. In the past, Tarkov was considered a zone of economic cooperation between the EU and the Russian Federation, but now it is isolated by the UN and the Russian Armed Forces from the rest of the world due to a political crisis caused by the activities of the national company Terragroup. Here there is a military battle between USEC, which defends the corporation itself, and BEAR, a government group that defends the interests of the country. The hero is a former mercenary who is trying to get out of the town. The Story Campaign consists of different scenarios, and also offers a multiplayer mode.

During the process, the user performs various tasks in Escape from Tarkov, including quests taken from merchants, which allows him to become familiar with the local economic system. It features realistic combat physics, weapon ballistics, and a day/night system. The character is susceptible to injury, illness, and exhaustion due to hunger, which affects his behavior and his overall condition. The protagonist can carry out raids on various locations, explore territories, for example, residential areas, a chemical plant, an air defense base, a center, while simultaneously opening hidden places – caches, mothballed laboratories, locked offices of an enemy corporation, underground warehouses.
