Escape from the Village is a horror game, the passage of which will not take the user more than an hour. Nevertheless, even during this time it will make you jump several times with fear and surprise. The game is made in the classic Japanese style with an emphasis on psychological pressure, realism and complete suspense with pitch darkness ahead, which is dispelled only by the dim light of a flashlight.

The main character returns from vacation in his car along a mountain road. He has a hard working period ahead of him with rare days off, so he is slowly enjoying the peaceful trip. It's already deep night outside, but he should arrive home on time and have time to sleep. But suddenly the car brakes sharply and the engine turns off. The protagonist examines the car and realizes that he certainly cannot cope with the breakdown on his own. Then a sign to a local village catches his eye, where he can at least wait until morning and spend the night. True, he still does not know that the village has long since died out.

In Escape from the Village, the player can only run, hide and walk while exploring the area. In abandoned and dark houses he will have to find the necessary parts to repair equipment and then successfully return to the transport. True, he will be prevented from doing this by local dark forces, which have long chosen a quiet and uninhabited place, and they will not be very happy about the visit of a living being who has decided to restore order here.
