Evoland offers users a unique experience in the genre of adventure projects. The main feature here is the gradual progress of technology that occurs as you progress. This applies not only to graphics and special effects, but also to mechanics, the general dynamics of what is happening, as well as the complexity of some episodes. So, it all starts with a monochrome image, giving off a green tint, where the character moves through a pixelated world, collecting things from chests. Already at this stage, evolution occurs, because in addition to valuable things, chests contain so-called elements of progress.

At one point, the main character of Evoland receives his own sword, and hostile units are already moving towards him. At the beginning, fights with them take place like with toy monsters, but later (again, with the help of progress), animations of taking damage and even splashes of blood appear. When the level of development reaches a high level, text quests appear, tasks in dungeons, as well as missions for which you need to move between time eras. There are also non-standard situations. For example, when the hero explores a cave, the slabs in the floor disappear, revealing a pool of lava underneath. At this point, you need to respond to such changes in a timely manner. There are even turn-based battles where the hero (alone or with a companion) fights against monsters from the local universe. Therefore, during the passage, players will be able to try out and experience all the features available within this genre.
