Exit Limbo: Opening tells the story of the life of Mr. Reno, the main character, who once found himself in a strange situation. Being the only survivor of the accident, it was as if he had been transported to another world, different from his own. Creepy monsters roam everywhere, trying to attack the player. Thus, the user will be able to fight crowds of opponents, trying to find answers to the question: what really happened. The game is made in a dark style. At locations, in addition to enemies and various objects, there are also secret objects and passages.

As you progress through Exit Limbo: Opening, you will be able to develop your character by defeating your opponents. By gaining new levels, you can improve and upgrade your abilities, allowing you to gain an even greater advantage. Much emphasis is placed on the combat component: there are a huge number of opportunities to deal with enemies. For example, it is possible to tear off limbs to use them as weapons.

During a fight, you can block enemy attacks to reduce damage taken. If you block in time, you will be able to parry the attack. Various attacks are combined into a series of combos, making them even stronger. In addition to regular ones, there are also super attacks that cause enormous damage. In addition to hand-to-hand combat, you can use objects located in locations to fight monsters, for example, a wall of spikes or spinning saws, as well as some fire cannons.
