Far Cry Primal takes the gamer to the distant past. In the opening insert, time is rewinded from 2016 and straight to the primitive world – 10,000 BC. All actions take place in Central Europe. The story is told through rock art in the cave. The friendly Vinja tribe moved to live in the lands of Urus. But over time, danger came to people. Udam warriors love to feast on human flesh. The owners of Izila's flame took away the light. The entire tribe was mired in darkness. You have to survive in the wild, when there are eternal conflicts and battles between brothers and creatures. You will need to take control of the brave hunter Takkar, who will take revenge on everyone who is guilty in the current situation.

The gameplay in Far Cry Primal consists of the following elements:

• Hunt animals – you will need to find baby mammoths that you can attack. Serves as food for the remaining brothers. It will be necessary to pursue prey until the animal spends a large amount of blood. Predators will make dashes. You will need to maneuver to avoid being hit by an aggressive mammoth. There are tigers that sense the blood of the prey.
