Fate/stay night is a visual novel with a Japanese visual style that takes place over the course of two weeks. The story is about a high school student, Emiya Shiro. 10 years ago, he woke up in his apartment amid a huge fire and was the only survivor of the disaster. He believes that he is the culprit of all the deaths because he could not protect them with magical power.

In the game “Fate/stay night”, the user finds himself in the town of Fuyuki in 2004, the gameplay covers two weeks of moments that happen in the life of the central character. In a small settlement, a secret competition between sorcerers often occurs, called the “Holy Grail War”. Only seven magicians who have previously earned the title of master participate in the competition. The gameplay has a small number of interactive scenes, and the gamer will need to read the text and occasionally select actions or lines to respond.

The gameplay is typical of other visual novel projects, offering 2D animated character faces and a first-person perspective. The plot features 3 main lines with different endings, depending on the user's choices. As you progress, additional details of the plot of the work are revealed. The player has the opportunity to return to the choices made to change the path and find out how else the story can end.
