The main character Femida is Judge Demian Murkhov. He considers criminal cases that concern cannibalism, sexual violence, abuse of narcotic substances and alcohol, causing serious bodily harm, and violence against children. This becomes known thanks to dialogues between characters and texts. In addition to making court decisions, Demian is also engaged in detective work. True, exclusively for personal purposes.

According to the storyline, actions in Themis take place in an unnamed state. Life in it is an anti -utopia. In the recent past, there was a revolution, as a result of which the state system was abolished. A totalitarian regime was established, which the new authorities want to transform into a democratic one. Demian Murkhov lived in rural areas, but moved to the city in search of a better life. In addition, his father disappeared during the revolution. And now he is engaged in his search.
