Forgive me Father tells the story of the adventures of a priest in the early 20th century. The city he was in was engulfed by an unknown disease. And the streets are filled with monsters. The hero turned out to be almost the only person who retained consciousness. He took the Holy Scriptures, grabbed a weapon and went in search of answers. The plot and setting are inspired by classic horror writers. The story contains references to the works of Howard Phillips Lovecraft, Stephen King, Edgar Allan Poe and other masters of the genre. Lore is revealed through the protagonist's notes and comments. It is also possible to play through the game as a second character – a journalist.

The project “Forgive me Father” is a retro corridor shooter with a first-person view. The project uses a lot of old mechanics. For example: there is no automatic health recovery. To replenish HP you need to look for first aid kits. There is no need to reload weapons here, but you still need to remember the number of rounds. It is also important to monitor the hero’s state of mind. The degree of his madness changes dynamically as he progresses and gives additional powers. The arsenal includes a regular and throwing knife, a pistol, a double-barreled shotgun, a machine gun, a machine gun, a grenade launcher, and a crossbow. The clergyman also has auxiliary items: holy water and a cross. The graphics combine 2D and 3D. Visually, the title looks like a comic book come to life. Enemies are represented by monsters and cultists. Bosses are also available. Battles with cultists and evil spirits are accompanied by blood and meat.
