Horror Ghost School will send the player straight to an abandoned school, where horrific murders took place years earlier, due to which the institution was closed forever. For unknown reasons, the main character, the girl Senna Akizuki, ends up here. At first she wanders through the empty rooms on her own, but then she meets her friends. Together they try to find a way out, but instead they only meet ghosts who want to harm the characters and do not allow them to easily get out of here alive.

The gamer's task is to unravel the mystery of the closed school. Akizuki and the others must look for clues scattered throughout the room. The rooms will need to be examined as carefully as possible, paying attention to every little detail, because the plot objects are securely hidden and not in plain sight. In some cases, the player needs to use a certain mechanism that will open the way to a hint or to another room. You can unlock the mechanism using special objects.

In Ghost School, the gamer is not able to fight ghosts since they are invulnerable to any weapon. The only chance to get rid of their persecution is to try to unravel the secret of the death of each individual character and thus free the ghost, after which it will go to another world. Unlike many horror games, there will be no jump scares. Nevertheless, the quest is quite dark and scary thanks to the dark atmosphere and the soundtrack that constantly escalates the situation.
