History in Gladiators: The Galactic Circus Games begins with Major Greg Callahan of the US Marine Corps being trapped inside a wormhole and awakening in an extraterrestrial environment. He finds himself in a gladiator arena, where he must cling to his life, fighting against brutal opponents for the amusement of the public. To survive, the former Major will have to help the mysterious girl Lydia, whom he meets after awakening.

Story mode includes 3 strategic campaigns. In the Gladiators game, the gamer will have to complete goals given by the arena announcer. To advance to the next level, you will need to achieve key objectives. Sometimes there are minor quests that test the user's skill level. In an unexplored and endless sector of the Galaxy, the central character leads a squad of gladiator fighters.

The user will have to control a squad of melee and ranged fighters. A group can have up to 30 units. Each soldier has a unique characteristic and type of combat. For killing alien creatures and opponents, points are awarded, the number of which is displayed on the interface. The player will have to explore vast territories and advance through enemy blockades. If Greg Callahan loses the battle, he will go to meet his creator.
