Gratuitous Tank Battles is a hybrid mixture of Tower Defense and real-time military strategy. The player will need to correctly position his tanks, mechs and other weapons to resist enemy forces. You can play both for the allied forces defending and liberating territories, and for the aggressor who strives for complete superiority.

The action takes place in 2114. In this universe, the First World War never ended, but is still going on for almost 200 years. No one hopes for its finale, but yet Europe still continues to offer maximum resistance along with the Soviet Union, which was nevertheless formed and the Empire fell under the influence of the Bolsheviks. This huge country is stuck somewhere in the ideal of communist rule and has not really begun to develop technically. However, the USSR still makes a significant contribution to military operations and actively opposes the enemy, providing its tanks and people in the regiments of the general army, albeit for its own benefit.

In Gratuitous Tank Battles, along with old models of T-34 tanks, there are unique laser cannons and huge Japanese robots piloted by people. On each level, the user will have a limited number of places to install alternative towers. All mechanisms also need to be pumped up in order to increase their impact force and expand the range of capabilities.
