Grim Dawn – a dark fantasy universe in the spirit of the Victorian era. The conditions of a harsh post-apocalyptic world, where living the next day is real happiness, force you to constantly adapt to new conditions and value even minimal resources. Relying only on his own capabilities, the player will have to go through a difficult journey and fight the main enemy – harsh reality.

As a result of dark events, which ultimately ended up in local history as the Gloomy Light, far from friendly creatures – Ethereals – penetrate into the familiar human world through portals. They quickly destroy the fragile human civilization and become the new power. People are on the verge of complete extinction, many of them are hiding among the formed settlements, unable to fight back against the vile creatures. But they are not the only threat to the hero’s life. Even people who have sunk to the very bottom will not become his friends and helpers, often being no less an enemy.

Grim Dawn Hostile Creatures:

• The Cronley gang are armed and highly organized bandits engaged in looting. All its members are cruel sadists, ready to rip each other's throats out within their group, if only the opportunity presents itself.
• Animals are dangerous creatures that resemble wild forest animals. Very ferocious and aggressive towards all living things. They can progress and when the maximum level of hatred is reached, a secret enemy will be revealed among them
• Undead – live in ruins. Their exact origin is not known, but they carefully guard their territory and are very dangerous.
• Khtoinitsa are the result of a wizard’s ritual error. They have gathered a cult of worship around themselves and kidnap people for blood. They are at odds with the current government, but they are not friendly towards the hero either.

In general, the entire world of Cairn is written down to the smallest detail and it’s quite easy to immerse yourself in it and feel the atmosphere. Various locations are not empty, but filled with content, even if it is a forest road. Even in small nooks and crannies you can find notes from people dying or continuing an unequal battle for a place in the sun.
