Detective story Grim Tales 21: Echo of the Past once again introduces the gamer to a woman named Anna Gray, who was destined to investigate another complicated story. This time, the events are personal and concern the protagonist's family. The heroine's little daughter, Alice, spent time in the attic, where she loved to clean for hours or simply play. However, at one point, the little girl was kidnapped by a living doll, who was no different in appearance from Alice.

Having extensive experience in investigating strange events, the protagonist of Grim Tales 21: Echo of the Past is confident that she can solve this case without serious problems, especially since the life of the person closest to her is at stake. To find out all the secrets, the woman goes to a mysterious puppet theater, which then leads her to a museum. And it, in turn, is owned by a strange person named Alexandra Grim, who is almost indistinguishable in appearance from the heroine.

The gamer will have to unravel a very complex story, which gradually leads to a certain character, known simply as the puppeteer. The arcade gameplay is classic and forces you to collect items on numerous levels. Along the way, you need to solve puzzles related to the things you find. The storyline is really well written and keeps you in suspense until the very end.
