GRIME — a metroid version of a world that is living its last days. The dying lands are preparing for the arrival of the Destroyer, which will very soon bring death to all living things. The weak hide in fear from rockfalls, the strong strive for elevation. This place is completely unfriendly to the main character. Who is he? For what purpose did it appear? Even he doesn't know this. It all started when two stone bodies danced in the vastness of space and almost merged in a kiss; a new creature was born from the flash and landed somewhere in the dark caves. The surreal plot is presented with hints and metaphors, and each player will be able to interpret it in their own way.

“Consume your enemies, become stronger and reach the end of your journey.” These words describe the main goal of GRIME gameplay. The world he finds himself in is extremely dangerous and unfriendly. Parrying their blows and winning the battle, the main character will absorb their powers, increasing his skills. Some enemies are overwhelming, but against others you need to think through tactics, studying every move and remembering timings. Even the biggest monster will fall at the hands of someone who knows where to hit. The player can choose his own path and upgrade the skills that he wants. As he becomes stronger, the main character will rise in the eyes of ordinary beings. These homely dwarfs, seeing the protagonist for the first time, will begin to admire his physique as he heads to the place where he was first born.
