GRIS – a beautiful and atmospheric adventure through the inner world of a young girl named Gris. The gamer is invited to observe a variety of landscapes and images, because the game is similar to a visual novel with animated slides. The protagonist is a naive and gullible girl, which makes her easy to hurt. The people around her really offended her, and other problems were superimposed on this, so the main character went into her fictional world. Only there does she find peace and stop being afraid to live. The developers of this single-player adventure have added support for control using a gamepad.

During the course of the plot, the heroine becomes more and more mentally stable, which is reflected in the visual series, which is an indicator of her condition. The gameplay includes not only slide viewing, but also side-scrolling with platforming elements. Also, at some points the user will have to solve puzzles that block the path forward through multi-level locations. The story is conveyed to the gamer through visual images; there are practically no textual explanations. The soundtrack, designed to enhance the emotional effect of what is happening, helps the player feel the mood of the scene and Gris herself.
