Gruntz – a puzzle game with strategy elements, including single-player mode and multiplayer. The project has a level editor that allows you to design any tasks and create new mechanics. Users are able to share their creations with others or use them for an online session. In the gameplay you have to control miniature creatures that resemble goblins.

Units are controlled using the mouse. The creatures, called “Grunts,” are made from baked clay, popularly known locally as “slime.” The player can command many Grunts at the same time to move, attack, or perform special actions such as planting bombs or clearing an area. To solve puzzles, students use special tools and weapons. Each item has its own characteristics, damage and purpose.

Controlled creatures face opponents, who are killed using toys or tools. The time bomb destroys any opponent in 1 square, as well as the one who used it, if he does not have time to leave the affected area. Most weapons have additional properties that help overcome difficulties, such as spikes and water obstacles, objects blocking the road. Each soldier uses only one item, but is able to change it.
