Hardspace: Shipbreaker talks about the world of the near future. Here, people have mastered space and realized that the ships on which they go to roam the galaxy cannot last forever, so they need to be disposed of. The main character of the project will be engaged in this process. He is an employee of the LYNX Corporation, equipped with their latest developments. These are special devices capable of cutting, separating and deforming individual parts of the shuttles.

As Hardspace: Shipbreaker progresses, the player will find himself in increasingly difficult situations. If at first you can limit yourself to only the chaotic destruction of the interior with subsequent disposal, then everything will be much more complicated. For example, it is necessary to sort objects and keep individual parts intact. The visual component is at a high level, and all animations of using lasers, dragging objects and the character’s movement in space are performed at a high level. It is worth considering that each type of item should be disposed of through a specially designated compartment. Thanks to the gravity gun, you can remove junk or body parts from hard-to-reach places, and the cutter, in turn, is able to separate and cut individual components. At the same time, it has several modes – a directed beam, which melts everything it hits, and two variations of beams, directed vertically or horizontally. Given the absence of enemies, one should not think that this universe will always be safe. If you accidentally damage the cylinders with fuel or coolant, you can cause a lot of damage to the hero, and depressurization will simply throw the LYNX worker into outer space.
