Harvest Moon: One World belongs to the cult series. The games in this franchise are a life and farming simulator with adventure and role-playing game elements. This time the hero in the story is looking for the Goddess of the Harvest. He does this in order to regain lost knowledge about farming. A guy or girl travels around the map, finds will-o'-the-wisps and gets new varieties of seeds from them. At the very beginning, they let you create your protégé in the character editor. Like its predecessors, this sequel features a change in time of day. Day and night change quite quickly here. One of the main innovations is a partially open world. It is divided into 5 regions with different biomes. There is a beach area, a desert, a snowy area, and so on.

To allow the player to freely explore the environment, the developers have added to Harvest Moon: One World the ability to travel with their property. Now you can shrink the farm to the size of a ball and go for a walk, and then install the ranch in a new location (if this area is allowed by the developers). Locations also need to be changed in order to gain access to new vegetables, fruits and animals. The gameplay in this part has been simplified.
