Hatred shows the most atypical concept from the point of view of the authors' ideas. Here, the player takes on the role of a villain who, due to blind hatred of humanity, begins to exterminate people en masse. Moreover, he does this indiscriminately, sending to the next world not only the police who are trying to restrain him, but also innocent civilians. During the passage, gamers will have to see with their own eyes all the atrocities that the character commits.

The gameplay in Hatred does not have any special features. Using the provided arsenal of weapons, the hero moves through locations (city streets, large rooms, etc.), destroying everyone who catches his eye. At some levels there is freedom of action, allowing you to choose the direction of movement and do whatever you want within the location. Other parts are linear and impose certain restrictions on movement. Due to the black and white design style, all the action and animations look more impressive than usual.

The destructibility of objects is highlighted as a feature of the project. So, if the entrance to the house is barricaded, you can get behind the wheel of a car parked nearby and ram the wall or completely destroy the building. From time to time, barrels of fuel and other explosive objects will appear at the scene of action, allowing you to increase the damage caused. Over time, the difficulty increases, and this happens due to the appearance of police and special forces. The fighters use armored vehicles with machine guns, so you should be careful and use cover in head-on firefights.
