Events Hellbender takes place 6 years after the ending in Fury 3. Terran inventors created a new race of bions who became deadly warriors, killing their opponents in droves. They eliminate Coalition pilots on Sebek and maintain superiority in battles with their skills and technology. The main character is the only fighter who has to protect the galaxy from a hostile race.

The bions have destroyed all professional pilots and want to eliminate the remaining inhabitants of the Coalition of Allied Worlds. The central character must single-handedly confront opponents and win the war, saving the universe and his native land. The campaign takes place through eight unique worlds, each with its own enemies, designs, and missions. Each episode has a variety of missions focused on combat and destruction of opponents.

The gamer takes control of the combat space plane Lord of Hell. During missions, you will have to fly across a limited map to control points where clashes with enemies will occur. There are 10 types of weapons, such as laser devices, heavy machine guns, Valkyries, Sledgehammer rockets, homing projectiles and more. If the player collects bonuses, he will unlock more types of weapons with different properties and characteristics.
