Hellscreen – a linear shooter, the actions of which transfer the user to a dark fantasy universe, very much reminiscent of Hell. Everything happens in a world that has been ruled by powerful deities for thousands of years. They were the ones who decided who, after death, goes to a place very similar to Heaven, and who to the underworld of suffering. However, the gods get tired of routine work and decide to create a unique mechanism that can distribute souls without resorting to the help of its creators.

As a result, in the Hellscreen universe, the gods are forgotten over time, and they themselves gradually lose their power, after which their trace disappears altogether. However, the most terrible thing happens at the moment when the hellish mechanism fails and the protagonist, instead of finding himself in a heavenly place, must survive in purgatory. He is clearly not happy with this turn of events, since he deserved a different fate. The hero intends to take up arms and simply destroy the device.

All locations are decorated in very dark colors and look like endless corridors. Almost at every corner you can meet opponents, which are always many times more. The player is armed with a small arsenal of firearms, and the main weapon is a shotgun. In this case, it is necessary to attack not only the hellish creatures themselves, but also such objects as barrels, because they can generate a monstrous explosion.
