Here Be Dragons invites you to immerse yourself in a satirical and sometimes grotesque world. Here, the user controls a group of crazy captains who roam the seas in order to destroy sea monsters. This is a very important mission, because only after this Christopher Columbus will be able to discover the New World. Kraken, newts, leviathans and even ghost ships will become the main enemies of the gamer.

Features of the Here Be Dragons project:

• Hand-drawn graphics – each location and individual fragments of the game visually resemble old manuscripts, in which objects move from time to time.
• “Living” map – while traveling through the local waters, the user will often meet third-party creatures and characters going about their own business.
• Battle system – all battles take place in specially designated zones, where units are located opposite each other.

When this happens, its characteristics appear next to each ship and monster, displayed in a separate window (amount of damage inflicted per attack, strength indicators). Depending on how resilient the enemy is, a single hit may not do any damage at all. However, if such an enemy is attacked by two or even three, he will receive significant damage and may be defeated. At the same time, in some situations the gamer will be able to restore the health of allied ships. However, you need to remember that this takes 1 turn. Therefore, you should think through the course of the battle and determine in advance how resources should be spent. In between battles, the user will find story inserts that reveal some details of the plot and simply contain funny dialogues.
