Heroes of Might and Magic 3: In the Wake of Gods – is a major expansion to the third part, developed by an international team of fans of the franchise. It added new creatures, artifacts and significantly reworked the gameplay to make the passage more diverse. For example, now the protagonist is able to split his troops, “exchanging” some soldiers, as when interacting with garrisons. The left fighters will not touch people of their faction, but will not hesitate to attack the rival side. The disadvantage of this mechanic is that you can only send fighters of one type, and this does not work with all mobs.

The project also includes the following characters:

• Emissaries are divine messengers, the personification of elements that can be recruited by completing a special challenge. They bring bonuses to the gamer every week, but only one of them can be kept at a time. Also, the messengers of heaven do not participate in mortal battles directly.
• Demigods are also level 8 units. This is the development limit for user troops. In Heroes of Might and Magic 3: In the Wake of Gods, they have much more health points, attack, defense, and speed, which makes them indispensable.
• In addition to the above, the game has neutral monsters. Most of them will not disturb the hero's squad until he attacks first. But sometimes they keep valuable treasures and items.
