During the research, it turns out that a kind of plague has spread throughout the underground kingdom and if it is not stopped in time, then the surface world will also be in danger.

Much of Hollow Knight's story is revealed through additional materials scattered throughout the location. A bunch of notes, diaries and books contain useful information that fully reveals the essence of what is happening. Reading these entries is an important part of the gameplay and allows you to put yourself in the shoes of the main character, who is also gradually immersed in the history of the world.
