Horned Knight tells the story of the adventures of a hero who sets out on a journey to change his destiny. Apart from this simple premise and small pieces of plot here and there, there is no more narrative to be found in the project. Most of it is dedicated only to the gameplay. However, despite this, there are 2 difficulty levels to choose from, one of which is focused on storytelling and studying the setting. It makes bosses much easier and gives more room for mistakes. The second difficulty offers unchanged standard gameplay.

The gameplay of the Horned Knight itself mainly consists of classic hardcore platforming. To get to the finale, the main character needs to go through 4 worlds consisting of 32 levels. Each of the latter represents a location that must be overcome from one end to the other. On the way of the protagonist there will be traditional obstacles, such as spikes, falling stones, lava and ordinary opponents. At the end of each world there is a boss. While ordinary monsters die after a maximum of two hits, bosses need to be attacked at least a dozen times.

At the same time, the abilities of the controlled knight can be counted on one hand: he can jump, dash in the air and hit with a sword. He does not acquire new skills along the way. And it can only withstand 3 hits on itself before it dies. This, however, can already be changed. If you find a secret location on the map, additional health cells or replenishment of existing ones may be waiting there.
