HyperRogue is a game where the user will take control of the main character, whose task is to explore a world based on hyperbolic geometry with many cells. The latter resemble truncated triangular tiles. The gamer can play on some honeycombs in 2 and 3 dimensions, in all 8 Thurston geometries, as well as in many spaces. At the same time, it is simply impossible to be in the same place twice, because the levels are generated in a new way each time.

The world of HyperRogue consists of 72 locations with different themes, bonuses, opponents, combat mechanics and magic. The lands are separated by straight lines and change as you progress, allowing monsters and magic to interact between them. The world is procedurally generated as the character moves. At the same time, some of the lands are unlocked after fulfilling the main condition of the passable mission.

The goal of the game is to collect jewels while avoiding enemy traps. Besides the usual collection of jewelry, there are a couple of main quests that you will need to complete. Otherwise, the gamer moves through procedurally generated locations in the style of a kaleidoscope, defeating villains and helping good people. At the same time, the game itself is a complete puzzle in which the player will not be able to make moves that could lead to inevitable failure.
