IN Islands of the California You will explore a huge open world inspired by Islamic spiritual traditions and the culture of the Middle East. You will meet many creatures and beings from Arabic, Persian and African legends such as genies, ghouls, scorpions and spiders. You will also wield weapons native to the region, such as scimitars, shamshirs, and jambias.

The project features grid-based movement and real-time combat, creating a hybrid experience that is both strategic and dynamic. You will have a map at your disposal that will be automatically updated as new lands and routes open. Using the map, you can navigate the area and find quest locations. The project does not have a linear plot, but allows you to choose your path and destiny. You will have to find the main quest(s) yourself, and your actions will have consequences for you and Khalifa Island.

Depending on the choices you make, you can get different endings, some of which will lead you to spiritual enlightenment, while others will lead you to death and destruction.
