Jazzpunk: Director's Cut is a first-person comedy adventure about espionage and technology. Players will take on the role of Polyblanque, a secret agent working at Darlington station. Assigned with various missions by the agency's director, the operative sets out to explore a world where cyberpunk and '60s spy thrillers collide in a retro alternate reality filled with robots, cyborgs, and a comically sinister Cold War-induced atmosphere.

In Jazzpunk: Director's Cut, research plays a key role. Focusing solely on the missions would mean missing out on the fun moments, as well as cutting off much of its 3-odd hour length. There are goals, and the path to them is blocked by the slightest mystery, but they never seem to be the main “attraction”. Here it makes sense to search each area and interact with any available object. Sometimes this interaction can lead to completely unexpected consequences.

The sheer number of comedic asides is extraordinary. Whether it's minor characters offering up computer puns, strange interactions from an ever-changing array of props and gadgets, or surprising mini-games found in the corners of the map, every character and object seems to be hiding something funny. This is a game where clicking on something as simple as a bowl of fruit can lead to an unexpected encounter that will make you laugh.
