Hostile creatures intend to capture the planet, but the main character intends not to let them do it. He is a cosmic mercenary who, using his own fighter, intends to destroy all opponents to a single one, until it became too late.

Jets'n'guns Gold gameplay mechanics are not particularly difficult. The character’s ship is constantly moving in one direction, and enemy units gradually fly into it. The task is simple – to destroy everyone to one, clearing the path to the next location. In total, 270 unique types of opponents are represented here, ranging from small fighters to large bombers producing missile volleys. Depending on how the objects are located on the battlefield, the gamer will need to choose tactics for the battle, properly maneuvering between the lines of fire, not forgetting about their own attacks. Starting a campaign of 43 levels with a base ship, in the future it will be possible to change 12 vehicles that differ in their characteristics.

Particular attention is the element of customization. In the breaks between the missions, you can equip your ship by installing trunks and modules on different parts of the case. In total, it is proposed to try 70 weapons, as well as 20 additional devices. In addition to shootings with standard enemies, at certain stages, bosses will come to the game, of which 16 here. Each of them has its own advantages and features of fighting, due to which it will be necessary to show tactical flexibility to achieve an acceptable result.
