Jim Power – The Lost Dimension is a glitch action platformer with side scrolling shooter elements. It has 16-bit graphics and music. In this game you will control a special agent named Jim Power. He is trying to save our planet and the whole world from the alien Vaprak. The gameplay is divided into 3 phases. In some episodes, the user controls the character, watching what is happening from the side. He runs, jumps, shoots at opponents, avoids falling on spikes, and so on. At other points, the title turns into a shmup, where the user already takes control of an entire starship, which itself moves from left to right. The player can only move vehicles within the moving screen and fire. There are also episodes where the protagonist is given a jetpack.

Jim Power – The Lost Dimension is actually a collection. It includes a PC release, the original and an improved version of the video game for one of the 4th generation consoles from the 90s. It also included unreleased versions of the game for one sixteen-bit console and an eight-bit console. By the way, the originals came out at the very beginning of the 1993s and were supplied with 3D glasses. In the digital re-release, this 3D effect, which only works with glasses, was specifically removed. Other differences include increased protagonist health and the presence of infinite saves. These changes significantly reduce the difficulty. The original was considered a rather difficult video game at the time.
