Just Dance 2020, like its predecessors, requires you to imitate on-screen choreography to a selected song. This can be achieved using motion controllers or an associated application. The mode features a playlist of eleven songs, each selected from previous Just Dance releases. Users follow Panda's journey across eleven planets on the Dance Party Bus, recruiting trainers for these iconic songs for an epic dance party in the Colosseum on the last planet. The story culminates with Stag's arrival on his ship, ushering in yet another dance party in a distant galaxy.

Completing the mode unlocks Great Expectations in Just Dance, available through a special code. The Cooperative has been updated with a traditional scoring system that allows you to collectively accumulate stars. Interactive choreography that simulates the process. Using motion controllers or a smartphone app to track movements. A fun co-op mode has been introduced with an updated scoring system.
