Just Shapes & Beats is a dynamic and hardcore project from a small indie studio that added a lot of content to their brainchild and left the opportunity to expand it with user modifications and additional tracks. The gameplay is based on performing actions to the beat of playing music. In order to move forward through the numerous levels of the campaign, you need to have attentiveness and excellent reaction to dodge obstacles – various geometric shapes. Due to their number, the user will die quite often while improving their skill.

The developers have implemented a huge number of various modes, most of which are available in both single-player and multiplayer modes. Multiplayer games are available both on one monitor screen and using an Internet connection to connect to the server. The visual design is executed in a rather minimalist style – the background is almost always completely black, in the foreground there are two-dimensional geometric shapes that create all the things around.

To prepare users for the difficulties of the game, the developers created a mode called “Free”. There are no restrictions on deaths and time. “Tests” consist of dozens of different tracks accompanied by constantly new electronic and rhythmic songs. “Party” was added specifically for noisy groups who like this type of music and cooperative gameplay.
