Karateka – a remake of a classic and old-school fighting game. Innovations include improved graphics, three-dimensional space, added characters and more combat animations during battle. There are more fighters available to control than before. Several locations are also presented, and all of them have been converted from 2D to 3D. The developers completely changed the soundtrack by collaborating with another composer.

The gamer finds himself in a feudal universe where he has to complete a mission. The task in Karateka is to save the main character's lover. Princess Mariko was captured by Akuma, the commander-in-chief of the enemy army. The girl is inside a castle-fortress, and dozens of guards and trained soldiers roam around her. The fortified site itself is set among mountains with difficult terrain and several paths leading to the castle, each of which is guarded by the warlord's minions.

The videos advance the story and show the feudal atmosphere of Japan with authentic buildings, weapons and armor of the time. There are 3 endings that influence which of the grooms will end up next to the bride at the end of the adventure. The player will need to decide who among the Terrible Brutus, the noble Monk or her love is able to overcome all difficulties and get to her. As you progress, various achievements are unlocked. If the user destroys strong enemies or completes secondary objectives, additional gameplay elements can be unlocked.
