Kingdom Under Fire: A War of Heroes belongs to the RTS genre. This title marked the beginning of a whole series. The action takes place in a medieval fantasy world. The forces of Light and Darkness live in it. The first faction includes elves, humans and gnomes, and the second – ogres, undead, and orcs. Thanks to the Knights of Wrath, they lived in peace for a whole century, until war began again in Bersia due to the fault of various evil spirits. Each side has its own story campaign, which is divided into 13 missions. There are also battles on separate maps with bots and multiplayer. The video game features light and heavy infantry, siege units, and flying combat units. Among the fighters there are archers, magicians, warriors and so on.

The project is also known as Kingdom Under Fire Gold. This isometric RPG features heroes. They can be given rings, armor and weapons. There are also several separate RPG-style dungeon levels for the heroes. The loss of such characters automatically leads to a loss and the need to replay the map. You can save game progress in story mode only during breaks between tasks. The gameplay in this title is a little atypical. In addition to extracting resources, building a base, creating an army and fighting, there are puzzles to solve. Easy pumping is also available. Soldiers gain experience in battle and gradually increase their characteristics. They also earn new titles. However, veterans are not allowed to be transferred to the next stages (with the exception of heroic commanders).
