Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders – third-person action game with RPG elements. The gameplay is significantly different from its predecessor due to the newly introduced genre aspects and improvements in the engine. The user controls not only the main character, but also secondary units. There are 6 states established on the Bersia mainland: Hexter, Wellond, Arein, Eklesia, Chironiden and Azealia.

The vast territory, divided into six factions, is inhabited by different creatures, such as ogres and orcs, humans, dark and ordinary elves, vassals and small tribes. There is a long war between them, during which certain parties became allies and created an alliance. The user becomes commander-in-chief and leads the faction. You have to lead the army to victory and upgrade the central character, who has a great influence on the outcome of the battle. In battles, you can use spells and abilities that summon meteorites, self-destructing bombs or fireballs.

Units in Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders:

• Air troops – can fight flying opponents, and receive damage only from ballistas, archers and magical talents.
• Cavalry – effective when connected to an enemy that is already fighting another unit.
• Sappers – set traps, can set fire to forests and cause damage in an area, hitting many enemies at the same time.
• Infantry – fights in hand-to-hand combat and has average defense.
• Paladins – have blessing and healing skills, which helps restore the health of allies and increase their morale.
