Kyon: Big Damn Hero the Visual Novel Volume 1 – a visual novel that focuses on the romantic relationships that happen in the life of a young guy named Kyon. The main character spends most of his time studying, as he wants to achieve something in life through knowledge. He completes tasks and does routine things every day that are boring for his ideal life.

In the gameplay, the central character will try to find more colors in his existence. The player watches the guy, sees his thoughts and feelings, as well as what he wants to achieve. At some points in the game, you will have to make choices that affect the future fate of the plot. Depending on the decisions made, the guy's life can go a completely different way, become better or, on the contrary, worsen everything he was striving for. It all starts with Yuki's friend calling on the phone and asking him to come to her quickly. Kyon arrives at the scene and sees that Nagato is dying.

As in other projects of this genre, most of the time the gamer watches the dialogues and interactions between the main character and secondary characters. Sometimes it is necessary to choose lines to answer or ask one of several questions, which will affect the outcome of the conversation. The plot moves in a non-linear way, affecting the ending and additional events encountered as you progress.
