Kyurinaga's Revenge is an alternate universe where feudal Japan is inhabited by living plants and other fantastic creatures. However, despite appearances, its inhabitants still have not lost the samurai spirit of resistance and are ready to resist the authorities. To do this, they use traditional hand-to-hand techniques and katanas.

Samurai Kaoru and street fighter Broccoli teamed up against a common enemy in the form of the shogunate. The authorities have long oppressed ordinary people, evil feudal lords took away almost everything from the peasants and belittled their honor. Trained and trained warriors could not tolerate this and therefore drew their swords, starting a civil war. The protagonists also join in order to defend a brighter future for their families, as well as to demonstrate to the masters their growth in the martial arts and as individuals. They go on a journey across the country to protect the weak and defenseless, and reach the capital itself, which is actually the source of all evil.
