Lawgivers II is a geopolitical turn-based strategy with deep mechanics. At the beginning of the game, you have the opportunity to choose how to start your career: start as a young activist or become the leader of your own party. There are three optional ways to formalize victory: to promote personal interests, your political force or national prestige. The main interface window shows the political map of the planet, displaying the main powers, regional and state divisions, as well as cities. Each nation also shows its electoral districts. Detailed statistics can be obtained by country, including GDP, foreign relations, military expenditures, population density and election results.

In Lawgivers II the following game activities can be distinguished:

• Elections – at this stage it is necessary to lead the political force to victory by experimenting with strategies. Each nation has its own rules.
• Parliament/Congress – having entered these legislative bodies, you need to begin electing key positions, including the speaker, as well as appoint representatives of committees.
• Laws are the routine process of creating bills necessary to achieve one’s own, party or state goals. Resources are needed to approve them in parliament.
• Government – having achieved influence, you can try to get a portfolio of one of the ministries. And then try to take the post of president or prime minister.
• Lobby – you can help companies promote the necessary laws, thereby providing funding at their expense.
• War and Trade – visiting other countries as head of government to conclude strategic and trade treaties.
