Left 4 Dead 1 – a first-person shooter with multiplayer and single-player modes. In the survival horror game, the user finds himself in an apocalyptic city where there has been an outbreak of a virus that mutates people and turns them into monsters. In the single-player campaign, you have to control a single hero, while the other remaining characters are controlled by artificial intelligence.

A team of four heroes with different abilities will go through many dangers to get to the extraction point. Bots follow the user and attack the infected themselves, heal their own wounds, help in difficult situations and save. The AI ​​cannot open doors or advance through the level on its own; it only follows the main unit. In cooperative mode, 2 to 4 users can participate simultaneously.

The gameplay includes a network mode, where participants are divided into two teams: Survival and Specially Infected. They fight among themselves, trying to kill all members of the enemy squad. The campaign focuses on the struggle between ordinary people and monsters. There are more than 10 levels to complete. The locations are linear and have no alternative paths. As soon as the characters reach the safe zone, the level ends. At the start of the next mission, the group finds itself in the same safe place, where they can choose weapons and minor consumables.
