Lihue is a non-linear adventure game. It allows you to wander around a partially open world. Players are periodically asked to make a choice. The decisions made affect the environment. It depends on them whether users will have access to certain locations. In the game you can run, jump, fix broken objects and dissolve obstacles. There are enemies on the ground that you need to run away from. Falling into the clutches of enemies entails the need to replay the entire level again. If you wish, you can turn off opponents and go through the title without them. It literally takes one and a half to two hours to complete. The main emphasis in the indie project is not on gameplay, but on a strange narrative (it is divided into chapters) and a psychedelic atmosphere.

The project uses a first-person view. Its three-dimensional graphics are made in low-poly style. “Lihue” is about a transgender girl. There are no meaningful dialogues, and the plot itself is vague. History needs to be collected bit by bit from scraps of information that come across in locations. These are mostly phrases and visual images written on walls. Gamers find themselves in the depths of the main character's mind. Or rather, in the world of dreams, where the heroine and herself immersed themselves. By exploring other people's memories, users can learn about the protagonist's fears, desires, and motivations. The main point of the video game is to understand what ultimately happened to the 26-year-old transvestite woman.
