Line War mixes several genres. It is a hybrid of 4X strategy, tactics, macro RTS, auto battler and wargame. This indie project is completely multi-user. It is made in a modern militaristic setting. Maps are generated randomly and asymmetrically with each new match. They need to capture territory in order to control the flow of resources. They are necessary for creating trade routes and building barracks, ports, power plants, and factories. Oil is important. It allows the movement of air, ground and sea military equipment.

The Linear War project fully lives up to its name. Here you cannot control each fighter or piece of equipment separately. Instead, the video game asks gamers to take on the roles of generals. Here players control all the troops at once. To give commands to different armies, users literally draw a front line on a map covered with a grid. And then they watch the units move and engage enemy forces in real time. It is possible to create macros for your orders.

This title has a large number of units:

• Ground units – artillery, infantry, tanks, air defense systems, commandos;
• Fleet – cruisers, submarines, destroyers, landing and missile ships;
• Aviation – missiles, transport aircraft, helicopters, fighters, bombers, interceptors.
