Little Lives begins with the arrival of the main character in the new city of Littleton. He only has a couple hundred dollars in his pocket, and his belongings are simple clothes and a used car. However, in this town the protagonist decides to start a new life. First, he rents a room in a cheap hotel and finds out what establishments there are around. Then he gets his first job, something like a cleaner. And then the limit to the development of his life will be the interest and patience of the player under whose control the hard worker is.

Little Lives is a simulator of the everyday life of an ordinary person with a top-down view and all that it entails. The character has needs, such as food, comfort, and companionship, that must be attended to. Those affect the level of happiness and performance. Satisfying them not only replenishes the advice gauge, but can also provide mood and stat modifiers. For example, expensive clothes will make the hero more attractive. And such statuses are needed, because the game borrows a little from the RPG genre.

Some activities, work or communication, for example, require certain characteristics to be performed successfully. So you can’t get a job at a bank without an education, and you can’t ask a girl out on a date if you have a week’s worth of stubble on your face and your words are jumbled in your mouth from lack of sleep. However, the gameplay is based on a life simulation. Time flows by itself, the city around lives on without a hero. You also need to go to work, you can visit cafes or gyms, invite friends on vacation and furnish your apartment with honestly earned dollars.
