Long and Hard… Summer! Invites the player to take on the role of a freshman at a popular university. Having failed the first semester and received bad grades, the main character almost completely loses hope for a good summer. Instead of free time, he needs to take makeup classes and take various tests to stay afloat in his higher education course in game design.

The main character has other problems as well. For example, his parents refused to pay rent, which is why he now needs to find a job and at the same time earn money for living. Many obstacles and actions unsettle him, but he is not going to give up his desires. Life is full of surprises, which he encounters as he begins to solve his own problems.

The gameplay is presented in the form of a life simulator, where you can freely travel around the open world, earn money from different jobs and meet girls. Most of the gameplay is devoted to dating girls, which affects the further plot. The gamer is able to communicate with the characters, invite them for a walk or have intimate meetings. Money is needed to upgrade abilities and characteristics, pay for an apartment and other needs. The time management system offers many tasks with deadlines, and failure to complete them can result in in-game fines.
