Lugaru HD tells the story of a mysterious island inhabited by humanoid animals – rabbits and wolves. The first are united under the rule of the king and experience sacred horror of the predators attacking them. The exception is Turner, a great rabbit warrior capable of defeating a squad of enemies single-handedly. Turner lived peacefully with his wife and daughter in a secluded village for many years, until one day the settlement was attacked. All the hero’s relatives were killed, and he set out to take revenge on those responsible for what happened.

The combat system of Lugaru HD is based on real martial arts, and the physics are as realistic as possible. To win, the protagonist can dodge and counterattack, and use not only fists and weapons, but also environmental objects. For example, if you kick an enemy so hard that he crashes into a wall, the enemy will suffer a back injury and will not be able to get up. However, this works both ways – every wound of Turner can become fatal for him.

In some missions, it is more logical not to attack openly, but to kill enemies from the shadows. To do this, factors such as blood, dirt and wind direction should be taken into account, since opponents can smell the protagonist. If the user has weapons and armor, the fights are much easier, but caution must not be forgotten – especially with wolves. They are much stronger than rabbits and can easily kill an unarmed little ear.
